Letter to my world:My Mom

“I am writing a letter about how a mother teaches honesty to her child with the Max Life Insurance i-genius #YoursHonestly activity in association with BlogAdda.”

Dear Mummy,

There is so much to thank you for, though my heart is full of thoughts but fingers numb. They just don't know how to bring together the same alphabets that you once made me repeat after you, while i rested on your lap and babbled  innocently. From the first day of my school till today, you have been constantly there by my side to guide me in every aspect. When i look at your picture of twenty four years ago and today i can see the gray strands of hair and dark circles  silently speaking about the sleepless nights that you and baba spent behind us. The Words of kindness like Please, sorry and Thank you are like the developed reflexes of my body. The first time you made me say thank you for the chocolate i got from my neighbor cultivated the farm of gratitude in my heart that has been nourished over these years by remembering every act of kindness i have experienced by others and moreover repaying the same because you always taught me 'kindness spreads".It was your please that made me learn to respect others property. You taught me to accept my mistake thereby never letting the wave of arrogance carry me.You kept simplicity above all luxury and so i know the worth  of it.You knew when to be strict and when to pamper me.I still remember that day when i was in second or third, for the first and last time i had picked up 5 rupees coin from the drawer because my friends had asked me to get for pepsi party and i was too scared to ask for.But eventually you caught me by finding the 25 paise change in my brothers pocket. That was the day (i don't remember how much you and baba had fired me but i remember you made me understand at night why i should have asked) and today i have never taken money from home without informing you or baba. That was the first spark of honesty you had ignited in my heart to lighten it forever. These umpteenth memories have soaked in the values for life that has shaped my life beautifully.
My thoughts and actions are reflection of you.Its you both who have and are molding me to be better each day.You have strengthened my faith on God,you have made me believe in myself, every time i cried for being hurt you taught me why i should not do the same to anyone else, you always reminded me of honesty, you appreciated my success and stood by my failures and made me strong enough to accept defeat and most important you never let me give up.I can proudly say that my parents are the best people in the world.I have been brought up by two special flowers who have gently caressed me when i was budding, nurtured me with love and helped me to bloom in all phases of life.
I can go on writing for the countless lessons i have learnt from you.Thank you for everything.I can never repay.Love you loads.
                                                                                                                      Proud Daughter

His last Words

He wept his Heart to the soul,
He loved more than his own!
                           His broad shoulders narrowed down,
As She Smiled back to his frown!
He Kept her fingers on his Palm,
And their eyes met to form a psalm.

His crispy lips when graced her cheeks,
She shuddered of pain and shrieked,
Then, She gently caressed his haughty hands,
To shine the ray of hope on a deserted land.

The steady wind rose on the shore,
And clouds of sadness began to pour.
The breeze was blowing stronger in time
And so was her breadth killing his life.
Thick and green scratched all over,
The warrior of battlefield lost his fervor.
He crawled to creep and save her,
But the battalion of rebels had taken over.

The knife and chopper had done their job,
Leaving him with her to sob.

The white carpet was laid in red,
As the last spoon of love he fed.
His little princess was six month old,
But Her eyes spoke of,more than loads,
He knew what she had to say,
                                  The young father turned grey.

He moved his body but cried of pain,
The blood was oozing from his every vein.

Beneath the shade they hid in resilience,
And His Last words pierced the silence,
"I Love you baby, shall take you away,
to Walk along, there's just one way"!

He caught her breadth and cried in pain,
Staring at her in grief and disdain.
She moved her body now no more,
He fixed his eyes forever on her!!.

Building k neechay....

                                                            Building k Neechay,
                                                          Jama hotay thay sab Yaar,
                                                            Zoron se lagatay thay,
                                                           Ek doosre ko pukaaar,,,,
                                                             Ab toh hai Sannata,
                                                            Aur Suni hai Galiyan,
                                                       Choot gayi Yaaron ki Yaariyan
                                                               Guzrun jo wahan se,
Toh bas "Meethi Yaadein" hon taaza
Dil kahay firse jee loon woh pal ek baar
Wo bhi kya din thay yaar!

Gone are the days when we used to call out our friends in chorus at sharp 5.30 below the Building to play our hearts out.And the first thought that comes to my  mind down this" memory lane is kya din thay"seriously! I feel the 20th century generation had the best kind of childhood.I am not being prejudiced that this generation is not enjoying, surely they are,but somewhere they are missing out on the tenderness of innocence that we dwelled in.
I have a very closely knitted memory of my childhood days, like i can recollect maximum incidences and the games we played, our fights, our gibberish talks, our amateur behavior, our foolishness and everything related to it. That's how i grew.We had no tab ,no whats app , no messenger but sharp shrill voices which pierced through the top floor to get the right person out. It's 5:3o and affu used to be down who stayed a few buildings away. She was always the first person to trigger the whole lot of bunch. The loudest voice among us was hers. And she used to come singing..."saimaaaaa,Truuuptiiii,sayaliiii,Eshaaaaa,snehalll,,Prajjjjj .We all stayed in adjacent buildings. But her voice was strong enough to get others down and  join until a chorus was formed. And soon a honeycomb full of enthusiastic children was formed playing Pakda pakdi,Lock and Key,color-color,football,cricket,Hide and seek,Tag-Tag and the list is endless. The street would be vibrant and Lively witnessing the craziness of 15-20 children playing like Today is the day.We used to get our cycles and play chor police on that.We ran about. Our bottles used to lined up at an aunty's place on ground floor who used to refill our bottle.A kind Lady.Yes,not to forget we have broken windows and put the blame on guys. The best kind of Memory which even today makes me laugh my gut out is  passing the football game(a modified version of football by girls). We stood on the two extreme ends and hit the ball with full energy to drive it to other end.Soon when we mastered this skill,we used to do target hitting i.e we hit the ball on the butts of the guys whom we did not like , just to embarrass them.[now dont call it Adam teasing ;)] Esha was my crime partner.Lol.So Foolish we were.We had a beautiful definition of celebration. We burst crackers in diwali together  and celebrated Christmas with all enthusiam. On eid,we had sewai and in diwali the modaks. From birthdays to festival we grew on simplicity. There was no competition, no jealousy. All we knew was 5.30 down with cycle.

But,now its all a memory which might fade away, but it gave me a childhood. It guided me to the first step of  being kind, how??,by accommodating even a weaker one in the group through 'kaccha limbu' ,it taught me to love each other,it helped me to know what is care'when one of us got hurt the others would run to get bandage' moreover I learned to forgive because tomorrow i played with the same person because of whom i fell today n bled my knee out.We never had the distinction of religion and caste. We were and are friends who met every evening to live a 'life' and laugh out together. We learned to adjust,by ignoring the fights and limiting it to words. Our call was not on the qwerty key pad.It was stringed by the cord of Love.Felt to be remembered. As i am at the end of this article i close my eyes to find my self " building k Neechay" calling out my friends"khelne ko aaa",Moreover i can hear them giggling,i can feel the laughter,i can sense the fights,i want to live it again.
But Alas,it's now an old chapter of my book which is indeed beautifully carved and I cherish each words of it every day.

If you drive a four wheeler....

Accident is the most dreaded nightmare of one's life.It can not only wrap a 'Life' but leave a life "Lifeless". Some days ago, i was reading articles on Accident survivors,A simple jerk on Neck left the body paralyzed .Because the injury was at the cervical left of the spinal cord especially C5 C6, it lead to Quadriplegia i.e paralysis of all four limbs. The young guy who was soon to get married  is now dependent forever.Chances of Recovery even post intense Rehabilitation is difficult to comment on.Similar are  many other stories which will run a shiver down the Spine.

'Prevention is always better than the cure' is something that is drilled in our mind since the Primary schooling. But how much do we follow?

Remember when you are driving a four wheeler or be it you are riding a Bike ,you are not only responsible of your Life but also those who are along with you and the ones on the road , besides you.
In India, getting a licence is no big deal ( unfortunately ) and acquiring a permanent one doesn't give you a ticket to experience an air ride. This palm size id is not a proof of you being " Master rider " or a "Classic Driver"that you can cut alone the lane of Broad Moving road from extreme right to left with a blink of eyes and a  mere indicator expecting the world to move for your comfort.huh!.I have seen people abruptly cutting the lane and you can't even argue! Why..?Signal diya tha na. -_- !

There are some Driving Conduct and  Mannerisms if everyone follows , i am sure it might help to cut down on a few accidents which are not destined for.

Here's the list and the views expressed are on the basis of personal experience:

1)Make way for Ambulance:
This is a serious request. No matter how important is your meet but it can't be more than someone's life. There is someone inside  calling out for help silently ,you can't go deaf.

2)Respect other Vehicles:
This is especially for all the SUV's , the BEST buses(bus service of Mumbai),trucks etc, They all come like a Lion in the Jungle, and all the smaller vehicles freeze of fear being trampled and falling prey of an unexpected dent or a scratch or something worst than that.It seems they are the only people in Hurry.Create way for yourself but at-least learn to wait a few seconds. But no these guys can't bend down.Especially the buses, they just don't care.

3)Respect Two Wheeler:
If you are in four wheeler, remember one thing that this man on bike is sitting on an open seat.Even if he knocks on your car,its a reparable damage that will come by your way.But on the other hand ,your one knock on his bike can damage his life permanently. And if God forbid he doesn't survive it will damage your life forever.(you know what i mean). So don't Rush in,Make way and if required give way. Now,by this i don't mean you let the bikers conquer the road.Rather give them space, they are petty little animals of the jungle who can sneak through the narrowest tunnel. So don't crush them with your ego.

4)Honk a little less:
Patience is the key but our Indian drivers are deprived of this heritage because "Angrez "Sonay ki chidiya" k saath "Sabr ki chabi" bhi le gaye! :P Horns are the panic alarms especially for the beginner's.Poor guy is driving at the corner of the road at his own pace and you come like a ferocious animal and take his heart out with your Double or Triple horn. And the scenario is even  worst at signal,if the same poor guy is first in the line  and  the lane is up slope..Bichara,he is already learning to pick up and post green even a single second delay  kills  him and his driving desire there and then.I so hate this unnecessary honking. Now,another aspect if someone is stuck ahead you and is trying best to restart and fix the problem, then a single horn would be sufficient for him to know you are waiting.but no, we fire him with all our missionaries. Don't  panic him yaar!.He might make some mistake.

5)Follow signals and respect pedestrians.
This Reminds me of 'Satyameva Jayate'episode on safe driving. How fatal this carelessness turns out to be.Orange signal is the worst of  all risk.We all break signals at some point of time but some people don't have the mannerisms of even breaking signal. For a second they are at rest beside you and in no time you will find them in them in the middle of junction creating unnecessary chaos. Now,this is something that one cannot be trained at.Use some sense even if you are in hurry. And if possible follow the rules to the maximum extent.Another aspect, although pedestrians can be annoying at times especially when they come hopping & running with palm upright, never forget you are also one among them.Respect them ,they will add to your tolerance.

6) Give correct Indicators:
This is self explanatory.Indicator is the only mode of communication on the road apart from continuous honking and the thrown abuses across the windows.Wrong indicator or no  indicator often welcomes a trouble. So keep yourself and others safe.

7)Helmet,Seat belt & carry all the documents.
Now i don't need to give explanation to why,but yet there are many smart people who will wear helmet/belt only with the fear of being caught and the latter chalan. The other day one friend argued at the point, Jo naseeb mein hota hai wo hoga,Now these are the people jinka kuch nahi ho sakta -_-
.Its your life, your body,do little you can to keep it safe.Even in my colony i wear seat belt, that sounds dumb but i am so used to it ,i feel incomplete without a belt.Be safe,Seat belt would prevent a whiplash injury or the risk of being thrown out or a sudden thrust down the spine.Helmet will save you from severe Traumatic Brain Injury. But We Don't care.

8)Keep calm and Keep your Ego aside
Jaan na Pehchaan lekin Ego banay mehman.I don't understand why this ego is entertained so much on Road. Those looks through the window pane, blocking of each other with continuous horn is the commencement of a heated argument. Some of them even peep out of the window and start abusing each other.Fanatic ones stop in the middle of road ,come out and fight ,troubling others by creating an unnecessary traffic. Bhai Keep calm and Aagay badho.Another aspect i have observed is male ego,now this is not applicable to all but there are certain men who look down at women driver's and if she happens to overtake, they come behind to race along and go ahead thereby satisfying their ego and carving victory in their favor. How amateur that is.

9)Follow Highway etiquette's:
Lane Cutting is the mother of all accidents.Sticking to either right or left is very much convenient and safe for all the vehicles. And even if you  want to move ahead,at-least create a way. There are some impulsive ones who will hop on the broad bridge from right to left and center changing indicator at the fraction of second. These confused souls leave even other vehicles perplexed. No Road conduct.Better to maintain  a safe distance. In Gulf countries and states there are heavy fines on Lane cutting but we take our liberty for granted.

10)Have Parking Sense:
This a Global issue i feel.We all need to develop this sense. We find  BMC Road as our ancestral property and leave our vehicle at any awkward place not caring if it could be a reason of inconvenience. This adds to the irrelevant traffic and frustration.Tow van' s are biggest rescue though but rather than landing in such kind of trouble it is better to be vigilant always.Hum bhi Khush,Tum bhi Khush.

Though Nothing can challenge destiny and Indian roads. But we can turn things from bad to better if we collectively follow driving conduct.

P.S:Views expressed in this article are personal. Please add to the list in case i missed on anything.

Slow Down Zindagi

The Greatest weapon against stress is our Ability to

chose one thought over the Other!-William James

Stress is the silent Killer of all the happiness in life. But ,an antidote to it adds quality to Life.
It's weekend time, and my number of "to do 'pending things' has piled up on right shoulder drooping it down to the floor, and my left one is struggling with the weights of my text books that i am suppose to finish in a stipulated time. And my eyes is in a state of Nystagmus moving to and froth juggling between Articles, looking for the review of literature to support my thesis for which i am suppose to draft protocol and submit it to my guide on Monday morning. And to back this there are regular personal stressors etc around me.But wait i am all calm!..how?Something pulled me out,The Magical wand has kept me alive. The thoughts that were racing down my mind have paused for a while.
And i find myself in the perfect mood,My Hair is all soaked in the oil,My thin skinny book 'The Last lecture by Randy Paush' is Glowing midst the fat-Haughty Textbooks and to add to the glory i am sitting relaxed and writing this article on "Slow Down Zindagi"wahh,,,Kya baat hai :D

So,here are the  5 ways in which I De-stress and #SlowDownZindagi when it all becomes too much to handle.

1)Breathe In and breathe Out,Sit by the shore and Meditate.

My favorite relaxation point is sea face. When there is cognitive Overload, its time to vacate the extra thoughts and create space for self.Nothing can be more soothing than the fresh breeze. So,i just love to sit by the sea side leaving the chaos of the world behind my back and admiring the fineness of Life in front.Gulping the fresh air with deep breaths and engrossing in self carved world is a quick remedy for a long hectic week.

2)Maa k haath ka Head Massage

What can be better than going to sleep with a champi filled with love and care.

3)Lost in the Books

Bridging the Fictional stories with the non functional notes anything that takes me to" my world" is a place where i want to get lost to be never found. All time stress buster this is.

4)Bloggers world

Stepping in the bloggers world is another antidote to the regular routine. The wonderful posts,Motivating stories,Inspiring lessons & Healthy competitions add tadka to the tasteless dal of routine. And the cherry on cake is when my fingers move in symphony tuning together on the 26 Alphabets to bring out an eternal smile of mine and that is when my eyes meets my thoughts.Re-reading your own write up definitely gives a worthy feel, though i know there is a long way to go but each article brings out something better relieving a few weights off my shoulder.

5)Kuch Pal Hasee kay

Spending quality time with the dear ones takes away a little worries.Being totally crazy and laughing out like there is no one to watch around is tip to "Keep Calm".be it friends and family just go there and enjoy life.

De-stress and #SlowDownZindagi with Parachute and BlogAdda!

‘I am going to try a new quick way to De-stress & #SlowDownZindagi using Parachute Advansed Aromatherapy Oil in association with BlogAdda‘ in your blog post

One MOMENT!

I try to define that one Moment,
Off which I am uncertain!
Like a shrub lost in bushes,
I wander in my world of Emotions!
My Heart “Conceals “the truth of it,
And yet “Concedes” it to be…
Left unanswered are those umpteenth questions,
Which pops on my every Action?
When I banish it from my thoughts,
It seeps in through my Heart!
Though I keep it away from me,
Yet I drift towards it.
When my soul ventures  in Quietly,
Intricate Barriers stop me.
My state of heart is inexplicable,
Seems to be caught in the ‘web of some sorcerer’
I escape from it wisely,
Unaware that I am still in it!
Then I screen through every moment,
To find the cause of indignation,
To my surprise is the Oblivious ONE
Which has crossed the path of Affection
Off which I am uncertain!

Far but yet Close

Dear Granny I miss you so much,
Cant put my feelings into Words.
I knew there would be a time for you to Go,
Leaving behind your Happiness and Sorrow.
But your journey from Earth to Heaven,
Was Like an Unexpected Rain!
Buried through the thoughts i Wonder,
What an irony of nature,
In pain you were left to suffer,
And happiness took you over.
Like a nightmare went that day,
With it when you Passed Away,
And left us in the Ocean of sadness,
Into which we sail till day
Just to Let you know my Dear,
You were the Light of our darkness,
And your Presence made our day.
I miss that Smile on your face,
Off experience would enlighten.
Your Crispy Lips when touched my cheeks,
Happiness would Roll from head to feet.
Your stories of ghost and beast,
In my thoughts still leap.
I miss the way you stood by my side,
Just to defend me in Plight.
Your last words come as an Echo,
Out they burst with tears and Flow.
Off the world when i hide,
In your memory spend some time,
Console myself you are still alive,
Far but yet Close to my life,
In my heart you Reside.

P.S:This poem is dedicated to my Grandmother Syeda Iqbal Fatima Wasti.A lady who was a friend to everyone. We Lost her on 27th Jan 2010,but she is and will be always alive in our hearts. My day begins and ends by remembering her.The most influential person and dearest to me.Dadda I miss u alot <3!
