Pride with Prejudice

Virginity should not be regarded as a girl's character certificate according to me. What's your take? #Virginity

                                    Here's My Take!

Well, this is a very sensitive topic as the tittle itself got so many thoughts running in my mind that i don't know from where to pick up.

 Rightly said;
“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”
John Woode
A person's character is that mirror which not only shows to the world who he is but also how he has been brought up.It is a combination of umpteenth things that distinguishes one from the other.

If you create a list to design a character certificate,i will place Virginity in the top orders.True, that there are multitude of things to define a person's character and Virginity should not be looked as the only one but it is significant one.And this is is not specific to XX ,rather it holds equal for both XX and XY chromosome.Don't take me wrong here,i have more to add.
Protecting ones dignity is as important as safeguarding your Life.No matter how much of Westernization and Globalization inflicts ,yet i will stand for the moral values and right culture which i should follow.
One Night stand is a cool word these days and is becoming more popular in the middle age group. Moreover, it is very well justified by the word ,Its Okay! ,Chalta hai & So what?
We Humans are the most superior creation of God,we have been blessed with the intellect of reasoning, rationalizing and understanding. If going around and sleeping with xyz person is really cool ,then i feel there is no difference between us and animals, they do the same.I feel ashamed when people say,he/she is Modern & Advanced.Dude, you are regressing centuries down to the most lowest intellect level. There is something called as Honesty and Loyalty, which is the pillar of Humanity. And,if you fail in that before you are put to test, then i can wonder how will you carry yourself ahead.
Now,This might go little off the track, but i will never marry a man for whom Love and Lust is same, which in real holds a huge demarcation, according to me.We all have those powerful feelings which drives us towards the act,but what matters is how well you can control yourself and wait for the right time, rather than bouncing on every second person you fall for.May be it is not easy, but not that difficult though. What i mean is be loyal to one you are made for. This was just one aspect which goes for those who carry their heart in sleeves and are always in need to satisfy their Lust.

The second aspect is one which is very crucial and always looked down by society unfortunately.I am not being biased, but if you talk about a Girl and say that she is characterless because she lost her virginity after being raped,it will indeed be very prejudiced .These days Girls are the prey of some peckish crooks even at the age of 3-4 yrs or at times less. Now,what this poor soul will remember at the age of 20, her only fault would be she was born as a girl.Yet,eyes will be raised on her presence and she will be discussed elsewhere. My thoughts also extend to the widow & divorce  cases(conditions applied) in which she(/he) is prejudged on one aspect before knowing the kind of Gem she(/he) is.

P.S: Although Both the aspects  need serious thought but somewhere we all are caught in this web of Pride with Prejudice.

And when Life changes.....

Life before and with IndiBlogger

Although,There is a very short span of time between Life before and after IndiBlogger for me,as it is just one month post joining this wonderful community. But this Short span has brought a huge difference in my Life, like many other bloggers.

Writing has been my Life since a very long time.People called me lost soul at times because be it anywhere a book and diary was my companion all time and with little spare moment i drowned in my sea of rhymes irrespective of whether i am traveling in train or sitting in a lecture.Yes,i used to write poems on my books last pages in the boring lectures, entertaining my friends around.(many times caught although :P)

Then came a day when i shifted from paper pen to keyboard, and that was the day when i created my blog back in 2013,soon after my Final year exam.

I was too lost  and took time to orient to this world of bloggers.I just updated a few of my articles and kept waiting for reviews.(which never came :P).I was dissappointed and later was engrossed in my routine.

My Blog since then was like a Barren land of the Sahara deserts.Neither i visited it nor others.Until last month, when i was wandering alone on my blog and looking out for sites,i happened to join this community. And suddenly my blog turned in to land of Oasis with page views increasing at a steady rate.

Just in mere 15 days i feel so connected to so many people. Its fun to read Like minded people. There is so much of uniqueness in each persons creativity.Their blend of thoughts with words ,their experiences perfectly described with a lesson, inspires me each day to read more people.Although i have never met them, heard them, but merely by reading them i feel i know them(and i wish to actually sit across them one day).I have already become fan of a few, soon ill name them, for its just the beginning.I am now regular at blogging for i have got a direction. No matter how busy i am i still have time to read blogs and update mine.

Although i am a newbie here, but i wish to go a long way to meet the fellow bloggers, join the managing committee, share my views, learn from them and grow along with them.

In the Eyes of Beholder

 In the Eyes of Beholder!

She sat by the side of the river course,
On to the rock layered with Mold.

She dangled her legs restlessly,
Her thoughts maundered aimlessly!

She closed her eyes to feel the breeze,
But Lingered in front her dusky cheeks!

Shuddered by it she stood on her toes,
Tumbling back on the uneven Billows!

She pleaded for way to the floor,
But it spoke to her, now no more!

She sat back crying all in vain,
Alas,No ear to listen her Disdain!

She had no clue why she was there,
Her mind rippled in silence everywhere!

Her eyes wandered to slit thy self.,
Her heart pounded to jump in the well!

She spoke to herself and to the world,
Whats the myth with a Girl ?

"My Parents want to get rid of Me,
But no one is there to Hold Me"!

They come at door asking her to be fair
If not,Then dowry will make a good pair!

Poor girl, when wails against in  misery,
They strangulate her soul calling it customary!

She cried and sobbed all hour alone,
Looking at the River,in forlorn.

As her reflection poured Insitu!
Her Red Fabric glowed the Moving Blue!

The freshness of her Henna began to wither,
With it,Drowned her tears in the River!

As she made her mind to end it,
Her soul awakened her to live!

In silence,soon,echoed a voice around,
O' dear, fight Back, do not look down!

She lifted her brows in Astonishment,
Listening to the voice in oblivion!

The Breeze was calm and steady again,
His voice, pierced the silence of disdain!

Whispered in her ears, the sound of Love,
The secret admirer smiled at her dove !

"You want to end your Life for a few,
Who Bark on your steps in Crew!

Do you know the strength you hold,
I know you are a Gem with Gold!

The bounteousness of beauty is at no par,
For it bows down  in front of your heart!

"The Creator so Beautiful has Created You,
For special someone who belongs to you!.

O' My heart, you are the most beautiful soul,
I just want you and nothing more!

Let the world know this my dear,
Beauty Lies in the "Eyes of Beholder"

She smiled midst her rolling tears,
He wiped in silence all her fear!
The sun set down and they walked by,
Two souls ,now one, waved another day "good Bye"!

Being Rich

                                                   Being RICH!

"Beta ,padhai karo tumhe Bada Aadmi nahi banna kya....."I am sure each one of us have grown up listening to this sentence from our well wishers. Now the "bada aadmi" referred here is very obvious "Rich & Wealthy Man" .Right from our childhood we are shown the ultimate goal to attain. This is very much human. Each Parent strives to give Best Education to his child,so that he gets a good position that brings in wealth. After all,Who doesn't like Money?

 Now,Look at these .....
The Girl sitting there has iphone 5s "She must be Rich ya , Look at her dress" The Guy next door wears only branded clothes "Baday baap ki Aulad hogi" For a wedding,"Gift toh Mehenga hi dena hoga, bohut paise walay hain ye Log...Huh.. To a Friend,Dude,He drives 800,Not of our status", Relatives among themselves "Paise ki koi kami nahi hogi, ghar dekha hai?' I can just keep on giving examples, which are equivalents of the word RICH defined by the world, but the Interpretation of it is very subjective

"Money" is indeed a beautiful word that brings Smile on every face. And ,In this Competitive & Materialistic era, there is no heart who doesn't like an Incentive. And if someone says 'i don't want money' i will never believe, because it is the need for survival.Irrespective of whether you wail in luxuries or strive for basic needs, you require it.And So,Each one is in the Race to be RICH!But the only thing that varies is what Rich means to you.
There is nothing wrong in striving for money but earning by wrong means is no where correct. There is a group of population for whom the demarcation of right & wrong is non existent. They will be the ones for whom Rich means wealth,Bank Balance and nothing else.Culture & value has no space in their room. The Need for more creates such a Mirage that they can exploit anyone for their position. And,sadly these people exist in numbers.

But, somewhere between them grows another group(i fall in that),for whom Richness is more than possessing wealth. It is about understanding yourself.Like many,I want Luxuries but not at the cost of someones happiness but rather as a reward of my hard work & Patience.I am glad there are many such people for whom Money is just "one"component and not the only component, under the broad umbrella term RICH!

My Interpretation:
I feel richness is more about feeling it.And this comes only with a sincere satisfaction. As i said it is very subjective and varies from person to person.I feel so blessed when my friends come to me in their darkest hour for serious advise,When my mother hugs me saying "I am proud of u",when my father says "You are my Son",When my bro comes running"you are the best sister in world'. Being Loved unconditionally & Being trusted blindly is the key to worthiness. The priceless values imbibed in me has earned so much Love & Respect that i feel Rich even before earning money. Moreover,There are lot more things than money to make me feel the same.Small joys,Big laughter, loving others, being loved, helping someone, being qualified, getting wet in the first rain, going on a long drive, battling a tough time, being a part of discussion, reading my favorite book, writing poems, updating my blog etc etc(endless) rejoices my soul to the zenith of satisfaction to make me feel Big.So,If you stop comparing & start enjoying you will feel bigger than Mr.Clinton & Our very own Tata's & Ambani's.Seek and you shall find. It's you & your perception, who can make yourself Rich or poor

Your Richness is not in your Wealth,it is in your soul.

Two extreme examples :
*He stood there smiling in space, his black eyes shined with twinkle as the rays of the sun were falling on his faces and moving back in congregation, the dust on his clothes was marinating with the continuous flowing sweat which he kept wiping with the greasy sleeves.Like everyday, Raghu was walking on the same lane but today the road seemed more merry, because he was unusually happy,as he had earned enough today, to bring a stomach filling food for his family for the rest two weeks.
Wait, on his way he meets his co- worker who is in disdain ,about his ailing child & the medical expense.Without a thought he gives away half of his wage, inspite of knowing that the remaining money will either fill his stomach or his children's.His friend's heart was soon filled with Love & respect for Raghu which could be sensed by his running tears. So,what do you think ,Is Raghu Rich?

*Miss Anita is a jewellry designer,an Intellectual  and a party woman who has all the Luxuries we often dream of. She also runs an NGO which provides jewellery to the underprivileged  families during a Girls wedding.Today she was meeting a friend who had a tragic crash down in business.Anita was worried about her plight & was planning up possible ways to help her out.As she was looking out of the window plane, she jumped on her seat asking driver to halt there itself. The driver was perplexed at that moment asking Why ...as the CCD had not yet arrived.Anita made an excuse saying she will walk up as she has some work on the next road. Also, she told the driver to pick her up from the same point. The driver was surprised & Left from the spot.Anita  did not want  her friend to feel low or inferior of traveling in a public transport. She was considerate of her self respect and so decided to walk up.What a Humble thought. She is indeed very Rich just like Raghu!

There is a day you are going to go in Ashes, leaving all your wealth behind & carry only blessings along.

As Allama Iqbal says:
Mout, Tajdeed-e-Mazaq-e-Zindagi Ka Naam Hai
Khawab Ke Parde Mein Baidari Ka Ek Paigham Hai

Death is the name of the renewal of the taste for life.
In the veil of sleep, it is a message of awakening
.

So,Wake up from the mere chase of money before its too late.

The Blessed Lord said: Fearlessness, purity of temperament, steadfastness in the Yoga of Knowledge, giving, self-control, sacrifice, the study of Scripture, askesis, candour and straightforwardness, harmlessness, truth, absence of wrath, self-denial, calm, absence of fault-finding, compassion to all beings, absence of greed, gentleness, modesty, freedom from restlessness, energy, forgiveness, patience, cleanness, absence of envy and pride – these are the wealth of the man born into the Deva nature.
Bhagwad Gita:chp 17 verse 1-3

You will be remembered for who you were & not what you had.

#Conquering your desires by channelizing it in right way & smiling with the smallest joy will make you Richer than the Richest.

The Magical tool:Your Poem!

Away from chaos of the land ,I reside in the chasm of my poems! Over the years i have created my own world of imagination where my thoughts wallow luxuriously and with each day they grow more mature and more sensible.I collect them all and string together from my world of imagination on to the paper! This is the description of my Blog and these words sincerely reflect how dear my poems are to me.

This is a para from one of my poem "Each Poet is Special"

Every Poem of a Poet,
Is special in its Unique way,
Which shines like a Diamond in a Bay!
It speaks the Voice of its Owner,
And reflects the soul of an Epic Holder,
For a poet his Master piece of words,
Touches his Own Heart before Others!!

As the last two lines read,it will not be biased if i say that i fall for my every poem(irrespective of the Grammar, vocab or rhyming mistake if any) and i keep reading them whenever i am low.But out of all the poems i have written till date ,the Gem of My Heart is My First poem, not because it is my First one but rather it is for a very Special Person and it is "Aese hai Mere Maa" (I feel so good that i  wrote my first Poem on my Mom) .I was in Ninth standard then (Eight years down the lane) and i very well remember it was in the midnight i got up from my half sleep or rather not even sleep, went to the other room quietly not disturbing any one around, picked up my diary in which was my collection of all the inspiring quotes. My pen scribbled Maa & again Scribbled 'Aese hai mere Maa' Now i don't remember what inspired me to get up in the middle of Night ,as i don't have  memory of anything apart from this beautiful poem. But Each word of that poem speaks of my Honest Love!. And yes it was a "Spontaneous Overflow But of a Gradual Feeling"And since then began my journey of poems although i was not very Regular for few years until my Graduation first year when i gifted a poem to a friend on birthday which was appreciated by  my batch mates. This inspired me to write another one and every time i wrote a poem my friends gave me positive feedback which ignited my Lost Talent back to Life and since then i have been regular at writing and i feel blessed to possess this skill.

About writing POEM!
It is indeed an art, because we humans are born with various emotions, which most of us choose to express in many ways ,of which paintings, dance & Poetry are the popular ones.
Writing Poem is not my Passion but my Life.No matter whether i am happy or sad but my Poems are My"HumRaaz".
I feel writing a poem is more about connecting to your other self, where your emotions trail in their truest form and if you pick them up with appropriate verse you are Creator of an Epic one!The Beautiful blend of thoughts with words in its simplest form defines a poem!It is Spontaneous Overflow but of a Gradual Feeling which when pent-ted over a period of time comes out carving a beautiful rhyme. It is as natural as a baby's smile and as pure as Mothers love!(conditions applied :P)The world of poems can give a mortal another life, create an environment never so serene and bright .The sparrow there may chip with a Lions roar and the sun & moon may knock on the same door. That's the magic of poetic world. And a poet is blessed to be a part of this hypothetical yet realistic world!

This post is in response to the IndiSpire contest!
Have you ever written poetry? What was your first poem called? Do you believe that poetry is really a 'spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings'?

Dusty Hands! Wandering eyes!Yet a Smiling face?

Dusty Hands! Wandering eyes!Yet a Smiling  face?

                                  Whats the Tale!

The fresh soothing breeze around was gurgling amidst the setting sun behind our backs with intermittent honking of the various vehicles passing by the front of the road to which we gave a deaf ear as I and my friend were too engrossed in our chat.We were meeting after a long time. She stays in another city for her Education and visits Mumbai after six months or so,yet for a few days. This time she had come for a long time and i was too excited because she completed her MBBS and i Completed OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY!As we both are Medicos we had too much to talk about at that moment , right from planning a good outing, her uncomfortable hostel life,Cases we had seen, annoying seniors, studies, friends, upcoming plans etc.

An hour passed and we were still sitting there unshaken by any noise,we kept talking, laughing and cribbing about regular routine ,Life and our future, until a group of 5 kids came running one behind the other ,singing some popular rap song(i wonder where they heard it),which caught our attention for few seconds though, but we smiled and ignored to continue our never ending discussion. But in the background these kids were firm with their singing while running behind each other, which was disturbing us yet we continued to ignore them.Suddenly there rhythmic chorus turned in to  a coarse coversation"Jaa tere mummy ko Naam bolunga ,Maarta kya hai salay"said one ,Ab main nai dayn leta"replied the other and the fight continued over dayn kon lega??!Pointing at the youngest girl "Ab isko nai lene ka ye kaccha limbua hai"elder ones smiled smugly and the little girl immediately wailed saying"Nai main kacha limbu nai,Mai dayn legi"And the rest of them gave a devilish look to each other,As they had wisely caught a prey. They continued their chor police game around the tree right in front of us and the scooter parked adjacent to it.Poor Girl was running behind her elder friends with a zeal of enthusiasm and her tireless efforts was enough to prove that she is Not a kaccha limbu. In the Meanwhile I and my friend forgot all our talks and kept watching these kids who left us Mesmerized.Enthralled by the smartness of the elder ones and the determination of this little girl,we both kept quite ,smiled intermittently and watched them play!

As i was observing these kids i saw the layer of mud dusting their body to make it more dusky while they were rolling on the ground, falling upon each other and laughing out loud.I looked into one of their eyes, which was gloaming bright with joy of playing around the tree and climbing over it.Their grin from ear to ear was innocently talking about its satisfaction which most of us don't show up even after achieving a lot in life because we want more. The echo of their Laughter was carving a set of thoughts in my Mind.I kept Wondering what makes them so happy, that inspite of wearing ragged cloth & running around barefoot with no toys in hand brings smile to their face which is unlike the fake one we wear to fool the world when we are silently cribbing over our luck. So,Are they happy because they don't have to worry about the Rat Race in to which each kid is pushed right at an early age.?or Because they are not bothered if neighbor's son got a new i pad?Although,They don't wallow in these luxuries or wish for worldly desires because they don't know if they will get adequate food tonight but it seems they know that they wont get this time again.Their Happiness does not lie in toys/Pc Games to have fun,all they need is "Roti kapda aur Makaan"!Everyone's Defination of happiness varies. There is nothing wrong to aim for more but yes what we need to learn from these kids is enjoying the present Moment by' Being Happy' when you get an opportunity to be happy rather than crying and spoiling it.
" So, i should learn to be happy when i am suppose to be and need not worry Least i have those luxuries they don't even dream off" I was telling this to myself when my thought was interrupted by a soft low voice of plead "Didi, paisa do na??"and i was pulled back to ruia katta and my friend was staring at me ,her eyes saying "where were you lost'?I smiled and presumed she understood ,then i took out a few coins, handed over to that Girl asking her to share with everyone. She went with fervor to other kids who ran across the road with  joy and soon dispersed far in the crowd.
The fresh breeze was now more soothing than before and the sun had almost set down waving goodbye to another day,We left that place but carried a memory of those kids playing chor police game.As we started walking back to our home, not to be surprised ,the fulcrum of our discussion was how blessed we are.To Conclude "Aksar Zindagi ka sabse bada sabakh un logon se milta hai jinhe 'Chota' kaha jaata hai"

Types of Pedestrian

                                Types of Pedestrians

No matter what is/has been  your subject of study over the years ,but the overt classification involving n number of types and subtypes under it must have annoyed you at some point of time. But this foundation of classifying things around you can add spice to fun,at the same time make you a good Analyst! How?Well,Anything that annoys you, just add types to it and start analyzing, you will surely have fun. Before i proceed let me tell you what Annoyed rather inspired me to write this Article. The Tale begins from the time i started Driving and quite often i have been trapped in the narrow streets/Lanes of Mumbai where the road is ruled by the people and the vendors, leaving a space that is equivalent to footpath for the vehicles. And worst, you need to keep an ice on your Head and Drive. But since the time i started observing meticulously to categorize these folks to put them under appropriate type ,i started enjoying driving in these lanes.

With an uninterrupted keen observation i come to the conclusion that there are 10 distinct categories of pedestrian among this heterogeneous population of Mumbai.

1)DISINCLINED Pedestrian :Moderate prevalence.Usually found on the the street in which they live. They are the group of people who owe the road ,mumbai ki  boli mein baap ki road hai.Leaving the sidewalk platform they walk in groups (or even if single) in the center as if the red carpet is laid exclusively for them and we have got our cars to welcome them. They are the most reluctant ones among all as 10% among these don't even move on honking. You either have to honk till the ear drums plead or take your head out and shout :'side hat na bhai, sunai nai deta'.And when they give you a side they look at you as if you have committed a major crime.Arguing with them is like hitting yourself because as i mentioned its their Gali .Males more common as compared to Females.

2)OPPORTUNIST Pedestrians: This is the Attention seeking Class. Very obvious to be noticed and i hate this group the most. No decent male will fall in this category. They are the Lukkas and lafangas of the street who get excited seeing a female driver and will deliberately come to die in front of your car and peep inside with such big wide eyes of astonishment as if they are seeing an extinct specie drive. Some comment is always expected out of these crooks. There is an observed association of the members of this class with all wrong doings. You have to Ignore them and move ahead. Males Only.

3)ALTRUIST Pedestrian: Minimum prevalence. Altruist is the one who works selflessly. This group of people are among the funniest ones to observe. With  one honk they will definitely move aside and will pull ten others with them.(irrespective of male or female)Often their intentions are misjudged and they fall in trouble.Inkay lie toh ye kehna sahi hai"Ay shaikh tu apni dekh".They are good ones as they care not only for their life but also for others. Age group mostly 40 and above. One in 50 usually found.M:F :1:1

4)SINCERE Pedestrian:Moderate prevalence. This is the group loved by all the drivers. They are the responsible citizens of the Nation. They walk by the place assigned to them and even if they happen to come in your way, they move aside with one horn.Ye woh log hain jo apne kaam se kaam rakhte hain.City needs people like them as there will be less fights on the crowded streets. M:F::4:2.

5)AUNTIES TYPE Pedestrians: This category is exclusively referred for those pedestrian who are imbibed by a typical Aunty type quality. Although speaks about females but certain males also fall in to this category. They are the ones who give a deaf ear to your horn because the world is getting over and they need to discuss everything right at the moment when they are walking by the side of your car. Most commonly found near female shopping streets. They can be associated with disinclision as well. But remember, There is no point even honking, because their gossips are louder than your horn, no matter what, they won’t move ,so better you take a side and move on.

6)CHILLED OUT Pedestrian: Most of the youths fall under this category.Prevelance found mostly in teens although cords is trend now(so adults 8% fall here). With cords hanging from ears to torso, wrist bands and low waist jeans covering down the snickers, they will be drowning in the wave of music ,seems they give a dam about their life"Zindagi gayi tel lene type”. Usually found walking in groups. But these people do move aside with a sorry smile on continuous honking. Can be dealt patiently(bacchay hain yaar)M:F::1:1.

7)OVER ENTHU Pedestrian: Minimum Prevalence but when they will come to your notice you will be perplexed and laughing at the same type .They are the most unpredictable ones among the entire group of population because your one horn brings about an excitatory response in these. Confusion is their striking feature and they leave you confused as well .They will give you a green signal and keep looking at you till you pass. Another weird symptom is they will step back ,and again move ahead, stepping back ,until you stop the car. Now,this over enthu attitude is for crossing the road or giving you a side is still a mystery.M:F::2:4

8)STARTLED Pedestrian: This class is the most dangerous and accident prone. They are the ones who are usually pre occupied with other thoughts or either stressed out. They are also day dreamers, walking in their own merry world. They are the ones who usually don’t know what to do with life when they happen to come in front of a car. They will completely freeze in front of your car, running a shiver down your spine ,as you apply a sudden break which gives a jerk to all the resting arteries’ and veins of your body.Aise logon se paala na paday toh accha hai, khaaaskar Learners ka.20-30% of the crowd falls here .M:F::1:2

9)BOLD Pedestrian:Maximum prevalence. This class gets on to my nerves.Usually found in the market lanes or when the signal has just turned green. They will come running, with their hands in 90 degree of abduction with head facing forward and palm outstretched. So ,I also call them congressi pedestrian. They will stop you with their palm ,as if it is emitting red wave to stop all the cars(especially females )& will  cross the road royally.Pedestrians having history of such bold behaviour repeatedly  have close association with disinhibited category50% of the population is a  CONRESSI PEDESTRIAN. M:F::2:4

10)ELDERLY Pedestrian: Minimum-Moderate prevalance. They are one of their kind. There can be overlap of the features from the above mentioned categories. But they need to be dealt cautiously with due respect as they prevail all the rights of senior citizen and a wrong move can put you in trouble. They are usually related to the sincere category and are slow walkers. So even if they take time to give a side, be patient. M:F::1:1

NOTE:.This article is a reflection of my observation over a long period. The content is purely  objective and can have biased prejudice as it is a one-time observation across a large sample size(population) trailing on streets of Mumbai. Also,Children are not a subject of classification in my observational study .If you want to add on to any  missed observation ,you are welcome to do so.Read and enjoy!

P.S: Even i fall in to one of these type & that is not the Sincere one :P
