Silence

After they left
I was sitting and watching My self in the mirror
I was sad and was looking with some horror
I wanted to put an end to my life
I was sitting and was holding a knife
I wanted to cut my wrist
I had lost the hope to exist
But I thought if there is anything I can do
So I went to the Police station without any further ado
They asked me from where it all began
and what was I doing in the Rain
Why was I wearing a Skirt
and that too with a revealing shirt
Questions like did they first undress
or they started to press
From where did they first insert
From where was I getting Hurt
Instead of Registering the Report
They Repeatedly insisted why my clothes were short
At-last they asked if that was my first time
Like instead of the rapists I have done some crime
I looked at the wrist and the knife
because I know Now I cant be anyone's wife

I am looking at the wrists and the knife
I am going to end my life

silence prevails.........

Words of Politeness

When was the last time that you did something good for others and that brought a genuine smile at your face.

I was in second year of my Graduation when i went to visit my lower kg Teacher Ulena Miss, having got in to a para medical profession, i was too excited to inform her at the same time worried whether she would recognize me.And,as i was standing outside her staff room planning all kind of possible intro 's i would require to remind her of me, came a voice from behind "oh! Saima has come...Come my child,so happy to see you."A spark in her voice which lightened me in a second, her eyes was glowing more bright as her smile was widening. It did not seem less than a fantasy scene but yes it was reality.Well,we began to chat, and i informed her of my career option, explained her my course what occupational therapy is about.Soon,I could sense her happiness while she smiled. After a short chat, while i was leaving, she said something which is the best words i have heard from any teacher ever."No matter who you are and what position you attain, never be biased to any patient. And never be harsh to them, think how would you feel.Treat them all same."And she continued with lovely advises ,all of them i may not be able to quote accurately, but this sentence i can never forget for it holds a special remembrance in my heart.
Having studied in a Government Medical college, my 4 half years of Graduation journey moved me more close to Humans and suffering.I have spoken to 'N' number of patients belonging to various class, but this incidence is little dear one to me.It was usual OPD day,an old female (in her 70s) dressed in a saree & a tripod by the side came to me for back protocol.I took her history, examined her and gave her a week protocol and asked her to come daily as she stays close and her exercises need supervision. She came the other day, with some more complaints.I patiently listened to all them and gave her assurance. This continued for weeks. One rainy day when OPD load was less, she came to me with her usual doubts to which i answered patiently. And since there were not much patients i continued to chat with her.She kept talking about her house, her grandchildren and many other things.I smiled at her every Gesture. And this way,she became my regular patient. She would enter OPD looking for me.I would greet her, supervise her and Answer her Queries.
One day something unusual happened. This old lady waited for me to be free till the lunch time.As i was leaving,I was too surprised to see her sitting alone at the bench outside and asked her "Kaay zala Aaji, konaji vaat baghta" (What happened granny, whom are you waiting for).
She replied "tujhya saati basli hoti" ( i was waiting for you)
I asked little worried "kaay zaala "(what happened).
She answered "kaay naay, tujya saathi laadu banavla ahay"(Nothing,i have made sweet for you)
I asked her with a smile"Magh tumhi aaat ka nai dila"(then why din't you give me inside)
She replied with a very cute smile"Kami ahay na,aat baaki pan ahay, ani mala tulaz diyaycha hota"(its less & there were others inside and i wanted to give you only)
I laughed and asked" Asa kaa'? (why so?)
She smiled again and her eyes glowed with an honest reply "mala tujha svabhav khoop aavadta, ani tu changla baghtay, asich raah"(because i like your nature and you see well, stay the same.)
I smiled and said Thankyou, also assuring her that everyone is good here. She laughed loud saying "ho" (ya) while giving me the Laadoo's made by her. She smiled while waving and i smiled along with her. Both the smiles were for different reasons. One spoke of 'Happiness' and other reflected 'Contentment'.As she was leaving i was lost in my thoughts. I kept  wondering"what made her say that,i did not do any thing extra ordinary as i am still a learner, infact i was asking half of the things to my senior. Then what made her like my treatment. My mind kept answering to my other self.'May be the way i spoke to her or May be my patience of listening to her complaints and her stories.May be my smile of recognition as she entered the OPD. May be many other reasons'. Whatever was the reason But Her words of compliments brought an eternal smile, and everytime i think of it,i smile to self."You can call it 'Smile of contentment' .I had done nothing great , i just gave a little extra time and my ear to hear.
I still don't know anything about her,she is a familiar stranger to me who will always be remembered. Here i thank my Teacher ,as i had only followed her advise and that day i realized what it meant.

What i want to point out is "Each person is struggling there own battle"You,Me and Everyone around. We all Project our Frustration on some one else.Boss on employee,Doctor on cranky patients,Teacher on students ,We on our family etc etc.But if we can Suppress and Replace our irritation with patience,(which is the most difficult task i feel),the scene would be different. The world is in need of kindness, little time & love and more of politeness. If you can offer it to those who are deprived of this then it is the biggest charity you have done (in my opinion ). Not everyone can donate huge sums or open an NGO(at-least i cannot at this point) But these Gestures we all can offer(conditions applied) which will definitely make a difference in recipients Life as well ours.

Hope

Hope!

From Despair to Gleam of Hope,
I wrote this poem to dream of Hope.

Hope is just a four letter word,
Which holds on my own Little world.

Hope is a candle of my dark,
Which gives my life spark.

Hope is a root of that fruitful tree,
Which makes my worries flee.

Hope is a Gentle cold Breeze,
Which makes my pain Cease.

Hope is Guide of my Path,
Which has brought me so far.

So Special hope makes my Life,
To Save My Heart From Inner Strife!

Leap "A Good step "..Goodness will follow.....

                                                         Steps of gratitude....

I vividly remember celebrating" Gratitude day" in my school.Although i don't remember the day and month attributed to it but today even after seven years when i think of it,a stream of memory rushes down the lane taking me back to the day.It was a platform of joy for all the students with no class for the day, casual outfit ,a royal feast, songs and skit, music and games, exchanging thankfulness with smiles and laughter around.Little knowing the deeper & hidden meaning behind, our lips uttered an abrupt thanks to every person we knocked on!Yeah, that was about being Grateful.Like many other students,i was oblivious to what i was getting from this simple gesture. But as i grew older ,i realized, that abrupt thanks i once uttered, mattered much more than what i thought.

There are so many feelings which remain caged in ourselves no matter if it is Love,Hate Jealousy or simply"Being Thankful",Isn't it? .Somewhere in the walk of Life we leave them far behind &There are many instances where we go tongue stuck, wanting to or not wanting to express them. But there is nothing more personifying than giving our "Caged feelings,Wings of expression" .What my school taught me once seemed too easy to me,but later i realized it wasn't the same. The abrupt thanks uttered when someone does good to you has a deeper cord of attachment to a sense of Gratitude.A feeling Novel to those who embrace it.It is not about leaving it behind but carrying it throughout.

May be a simple advise to a serious suggestion, a helping hand from a person unexpected ,to, a smile of assurance from a loved one and there are many more gestures unpicked which we often fail to make it a point and express our deep gratitude for the meaning it holds in our life.Is it we are too busy to run ahead of each other,Leaving behind the differences that seem trivial but if pondered really matter.

In a day we meet so many different kinds of people ,some dear ones, some strangers. There is a string of incidence attached to each one but a cord of attachment develops when a sense of gratitude leaps in.You may not be in contact for the rest of Life but surely you will be remembered for something kind! One thing i realized is, being grateful is not only about saying Thanks(its only an expression) but rather remembering the reason behind. This Humble Gesture precipitates a kind Action for which you will be remembered, and the kindness of the opposite person will be reinforced by your Gratefulness.
And then when you will walk ahead, you will carve a step of gratitude for someone behind to follow and idealize ,who will in turn carve another step for someone behind and the chain will continue....

P.S :There are many instances where we are unable to Thank the person who leaves an unforgettable impact on us by his gesture.Reaching to him (if possible) and expressing the same is more satisfying than it can be explained.

A Tale of Heart

       A Tale of Heart!

I am that Darkest Chamber of your Life,
Where thousands of emotions reside.
Like a shrub lost in bushes,
I drown in your ocean of wishes!
I speak more than you hear,
Yet i am the one unheard!

 In your toughest time,
I escort you with a smile.
In your tears I shed Mine,
With you beats my Life!

Yet you haven't noticed,
How you plunder upon me!
When ego commits a mistake?
My Life is kept at stake!
Do you know whenever you frail...
Its me who is Raged!
If happy you keep me embraced,
If sadness comes in ..
I am left with Disgrace!

Tell me the Myth hidden Behind.
Of Why i suffer every time??? ...

Are you Modern ? Modern v/s conservative

If you value your traditions and culture, you're branded conservative. While modernity is judged by clothes rather than thoughts. What's you take on this topic? #ModernTradition

Most of the Educated Individuals must have sometime or the other uttered this proverb" A Book is not judged by its Cover" Now, i don't know how deep is their understanding for the same!

To begin, Let me tell you my casual outfit is jeans but i also wear a neatly tucked scarf covering the strands of my hair. Now what will you call me"Modern because i wear a jeans or conservative for my veil!

In our Mediocre culture, this is a serious issue.Everything is weighed in terms of looks or outward appearance. Why?Why is it that we blindly accept the seen not wanting to know the unseen.

If the words Modern and Conservatism is taken in parallel with clothes and culture then i think we are violating the grass root definition of these words. Here i don't want to go in depth explaining the meaning and the difference of the two.We are well aware of them.

All that Glitters is not Gold. So,its better we put in extra effort before blindly coming to a conclusion.

What is it about being Modern or Traditional?

Being Modern is not about a low waist jeans and combo of hookah and cocktail in hand, just to flow with the trend, and regressing to a limited reasoning and not being in a position to offer any sensible opinion when matter of change rises ,neither being traditional is about sitting by the feet of(few) hypocrite Pundits and Mullahs who not only limit their sensuality and growth of thoughts but also of others who blindly follow them without giving them a thought.

For those, mere outfit equates to being advanced/conservative,i can surely say there is no one more regressed than you!

 So,Who has a Liberal thought?

*Following ones culture and value doesn't bring you down to being conventional rather it helps you to climb the next rung of the ladder.I am a staunch believer of rationalizing things.Whenever i am told you are suppose to/not suppose to do this.My first question is why? Each and Every custom or tradition i follow is first analyzed.I yearn for a logical answer and i am successful in getting one

*If you can reason out successfully and your thoughts are not tied by the shackles of stereotypical s ,then i am sure you are moving at a right pace. Here, if you stick to your culture and traditions it  gives you a base to further understanding of right and wrong.

*"Seek and you shall find"Dig in to your values and culture to find appropriate answers,it will not only strengthen your thoughts but also liberate them to be more mature and sensible.

We humans are deep thinkers. There is a long run thought dynamics. We keep on seeking for the change. If we look at the advancements around us,they don't come up magically. Each of them have their roots in past.Be it cable wires being modified in to today's comfort" wireless".Or,the Laptop evolving from the big screen cabinets called computers.Nokia 1110 was a brand of modernity once but today it is mere Dabba phone. Now the concept of advancement will keep changing but the root of it will lie in the invention of Graham bell.

If you study today's research and lift our history, you will not be amazed to know its the same culture/tradition put in a different way, that is a brand of advancement.

Life keeps moving and so will the trend. If i am following my traditional and moral values, then who are you to judge my outlook (rather lame term mentality). By questioning me on being conservative you are just proving how conservative you are.Because conservative is a person who lacks ability of acceptance.

Respecting each others differences and walking in hand to bring a sensible & a logically analyzed change is first step to being modern.

My Analgesic of LIFE!!

My Analgesic of Life

Bereft by the world,

When confronting lonely battle,

Muddled by my state,

In the midst of contempt,

My Heart snivels completely,

Unheard to any…

My pain when baffles around,

Radiating the pent up emotions!

I then escort myself,
                                       To another world,

Where shrines of idylls are formed.

The echo of my woe,

When rushes through my soul,

I capitulate them in my thoughts,

To channelize them in my words,

And engrave it on to the paper.

With it, i ventilate my pent up emotions!

My unspoken words never go unheard,

Because they are owner of  every verse!

My poems comfort me in every state,

Be it a moment of  bliss or a cry of fate!

They are those Analgesics of my Life,

Which save my Heart from inner strife..
